What are the entry requirements?You'll need at least 3 A* to C GCSE's including an Art based subject and English.
What's covered?Ideally suited for learners who may have relevant experience or Level 1 qualifications in aspects of Design. The training is aimed at candidates who are looking to get into the Design Industry and are capable of reaching the required standards.
How is it assessed?You are continually assessed throughout your course by building a portfolio of your work, which contains your evidence of your competence in each area. Most assessments will be completed within the workplace.
What else do I need to know?On the Apprenticeship programme, you usually attend College one day a week, and spend four days a week working with your employer.
What financial support is on offer?While you are on an Apprenticeship, your employer pays you a salary and supports you whilst you undertake your training.
What can I do next?Successful completion of the Apprenticeship will give you a head start in the competitive design industry. It'll also get you ready for an Advanced Apprenticeship, which will get you onto a university course.
Course CostThere is NO COST to the trainee or the employer for Apprenticeship training. The only cost to the employer is the trainee's salary.
