Newcastle-under-Lyme College is holding a public Open Day this weekend.

The College is opening to the public this Saturday 20 March 2010 from 10am until 1pm to showcase the new facilities on offer at its new £60 million campus on Knutton Lane.

The Open Day will provide a chance for members of the public to tour the new facilities, which include an impressive 200-seat auditorium, a large, well-equipped learning resources centre, and a bespoke University Centre for students on Higher Education programmes.

College Principal and Chief Executive Karen Dobson will also be giving a talk aimed at helping school-leavers choose the right course

“The aim of this open day is to enable people to come and have a look round the new buildings,” said Rachel Till, Head of Corporate Communications.

“There will be tours taking place throughout the event. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk to current students and staff and ask any questions they have about the new college.”

She added: “Many of our facilities, such as The Gordon Banks Sports Centre and the Transform Salon and Spa, are available to the public and I’d encourage local people to come and see what’s on offer.”

Employers will also be able to view the state-of-the-art new meeting and conferencing facilities available for hire in the new building.

People who want to attend the Open Day can pre-register online at www.nulc.ac.uk/openevenings or call 01782 254254.
