21 July 10
Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) has become a Lincrusta Centre of Good Practice after recently holding a training day for its Painting and Decorating lecturers.
Lincrusta was launched in 1877 to instant success in a host of applications from royal homes to railway carriages. Lincrusta is an embossed wallcovering made from natural materials using 100 year old methods.
Staff members Mark Turner, Dave Lancaster, Nick Anderson and Lynden Barber were trained in how to use Lincrusta wall covering by Andy Sarsons, Technical Manager for Lincrusta.
Paula Rowland, Curriculum Manager for Construction and Engineering said: “We like to ensure that all our staff are kept up-to-date with modern and traditional products in their field to support their professional development.
“Lincrusta wall covering is something that we hope to deliver on the Level 3 Painting and Decorating course next year. We are also happy to provide bespoke training for established trades people."
