Awards presentation recognises apprentices' engineering success
A special awards presentation has been held at Newcastle-under-Lyme College to reward engineering apprentices for outstanding achievement.
Peter Jennings and Jason Durrant both received awards in recognition of their effort and performance on the College’s engineering apprenticeship training programme.
The awards presentation was held in late July in the engineering workshop in the Skills and Technology Centre at Newcastle-under-Lyme College.
Jason received the ‘Best Overall Performance’ award and Peter received the ‘Improvement’ award for the apprentice who has progressed the most throughout the duration of the course.
Certificates and prizes were awarded by Karen Dobson, College Principal and Chief Executive.
Graham Tinsley, Curriculum Leader in Construction and Engineering, said: “The students worked well this year showing enthusiasm and commitment to their learning.”
He added: “The presentation went very well with positive feedback from the employers who were invited to the event.”
