The College's success rates on AS/A Levels and advanced vocational courses consistently exceed national benchmarks, firmly placing Newcastle-under-Lyme College among the top 10% of further education colleges in the country.
A and AS Level Results 2010
- 98.5% pass rate
- 19 A* grades awarded
- 69% gained A-C grades
- 27 out of 32 subjects enjoyed 100% pass rates.
Advanced Vocational Courses 2010
- Almost a third of all students taking the BTEC National Diplomas achieved the top 'triple distinction' grade - equivalent to 3 As at A Level and attracting the same number of UCAS points (91 students).
- 13 out of 14 subjects achieved 100% pass rates.
University Progression
Last year more than 600 Newcastle-under-Lyme College students progress to universities throughout the UK, including Oxford and Cambridge, making us the fifth largest supplier of students to Higher Education in the West Midlands.
