Foundation Courses at NULC

NULC offers distinct programmes for young people and adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will be guided onto the most appropriate course to ensure your personal needs are met.

On the Entry Level Skills for Working Life programme, we offer a range of vocational courses that include construction, sport, hospitality and catering, care and engineering. There is opportunity to progress on to further vocational courses or into voluntary or paid employment. You need to be committed to developing your independent travel skills to access work experience.

You will continue to develop your basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills and you can progress to taking nationally recognised qualifications.

You will have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP), which is designed to meet your individual learning needs. This could include work experience, vocational studies, sport, performing arts and theatre make-up.

You could also have the opportunity to develop your independent living skills, travel, simple cookery, budgeting and personal care.

Blog/Photos/Videos

We have a blog for each of our subjects here at NULC. This is so that we can keep potential students, current students, or anyone who is interested up-to-date with the latest news.
