Health and Social Care Courses at NULC

Preparation for employment

The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care is a qualification recognised by both universities and employers and can lead to careers in nursing, social work, probation officer and many more jobs. 

Progression to university

Last year 64% of students progressed onto universities to study subjects such as Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work.

Pass Rates

2009-10

• 64% of students on the National Diploma in Health and Social Care achieved MMM (Merit) or higher;
• Six students achieved DDD (top level distinction) on the National Diploma in Health and Social Care, which is the equivalent to 3 'A' grades and attracts the same number of UCAS points.
• The overall pass rate for the National Diploma in Health and Social Care was 100%.
