What is the Army FE Bursary?

The Army has teamed up with Newcastle-under-Lyme College to offer the Army FE Bursary Scheme. You get £1000 while you're at college, then join the Army after the end of the course, where you'll train for a job and start an exciting career. Once you have completed Army training, you'll qualify for a further £1000.

What courses are covered?

There are a range of vocational courses at the College the Army is supporting. All the courses will give you a fully recognised qualification and the basics you need for a job in the Army. You could choose a course in IT, Engineering, Public Services, Health and Social Care, Business, Construction or Sport.

How do I apply?

Fill in an application form which you can get from your local Army Careers Office or online at www.armyjobs.co.uk or enrol on your course here at Newcastle College and make your tutor aware that you would like to apply for an Army bursary. An Army Careers Advisor will then contact you.

If you complete your college course and pass the Army selection tests you will be required to commit to four years with the Army as a soldier.
