Applying for Full-time Courses and Apprenticeships
1 Step one
If you’re in Year 11 at school: Download our application form (link below), complete it and then hand it to your form teacher or careers teacher. They will then need to complete a reference form, attach it and forward it to the College and ask your teacher for a copy of your most recent report if you haven't already got one.
If you’ve left school already: Download our application form (link below), complete it and then return it to the Admissions Team, Newcastle-under-Lyme College, Knutton Lane, Newcastle, Staffordshire ST5 2GB.
If you choose to apply online: Please note that if you are still at school and decide to make an online application for a full-time course through our website, we will need to contact your school for a reference.
When should I apply? We ask you to apply for a place between 1 October and 31 March. Applications received after this date will still be considered but we expect that course places will be limited.
2 Step two
We’ll write to you with a date for your interview - where you can meet our tutors and make sure the course you have chosen is the right one for you. YOU MUST attend this event in order to progress your application and secure your place at Newcastle-under-Lyme College. When attending the interview please make sure you bring a copy of your most recent school report. You’ll then be allocated a provisional place with us. Once we offer you a place on one of our courses you must ensure you accept you place by visiting www.nulc.ac.uk/confirm
3 Step three
We’ll keep in touch and work with you to make sure that you enrol on the course that’s right for you. We’ll also make sure we can offer all the additional support you might need once you come to us in September.
