Elite Sports Performance Programme (ESSP)

The Elite Sports Programme (ESSP) was created to allow talented athletes to continue with their academic studies, whilst training and competing to the highest level. The ESPP is open to you if you have represented the county or above in a chosen sport within the last academic year.

If you become part of the programme you can expect the following benefits

  • Financial support from the college's Sports Scholarship Fund for training costs, transport and essential equipment (subject to applications);
  • Free use of the new college sports facilities such as the fitness suite and dance studio;
  • University workshops at institutions such as Bath, Loughborough and Birmingham that are targeted at increasing your performance.

The sports that are eligible are:

  • Football
  • Trampoline
  • Netball
