NULC Academy of Sport

At Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) we are extremely proud of our sport programme, which gives you the chance to study and pursue your sporting interests at the same time.

The NULC Academy of Sport operates a wide range of opportunities available to full-time students, including:

Elite Sports Performance Programme (ESPP) - If you are a county standard player or above in your chosen sport, the College can help you by providing funding, support and equipment.

Sports Academies - As well as our two football academies, we have five other academy programmes including basketball and netball.

Football Academies - We operate a very successful Football Academy with Newcastle Town Football Club. 

Coach Education Programme - You can undertake a range of coaching qualifications in all types of sports.

Sports Volunteer and Leadership Academy - This scheme provides you with incentives to become involved in sports volunteering and coaching within the local community.

TEAM:NULC - Through the College, you can also compete in British Colleges' sports tournaments and attend trials for regional and national teams. All sports teams within the College make up Team:NULC.

Recreational Sport - Join in, play and have some fun. All our students receive heavily discounted rates at our on-site Gordon Banks Sports Centre.
