Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (incorporating Newcastle-under-Lyme College, Stafford College and training provider, Axia Solutions), has been confirmed as an approved apprenticeship training provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).
All providers on the register have been through a rigorous assessment process to ensure they meet apprenticeship quality expectations. Levy-paying employers will be able to choose their apprenticeship training delivery from this high-quality, flexible and responsive provider base for all apprentices starting their programmes from May 2017.
An apprentice can be a new recruit or it could be a person already working in your business. Apprenticeships are open to anyone regardless of age (as long as they are aged 16+).
An apprentice will usually spend 4 days per week working in your business (on-the-job training) and 1 day per week at college (college-based learning).
College-based learning allows the apprentice to develop their subject knowledge and maths and English skills. On-the-job training allows them to gain practical experience and build skills needed for their chosen career path.
Apprenticeships are available at a range of levels
Intermediate, Advanced and Higher level apprenticeships are available. The time it takes to complete an apprenticeship will vary accordingly. We can help you decide the best level for your business and show you how your apprentice might progress to a higher level.
We can also tailor bespoke apprenticeship programmes to suite the needs of your business.
If you would like to recruite an apprentice, we will advertise your vacancy and pre-screen all applicants to help find the right person for your business.
