Louise Ziemann

The Gordon Banks Sports Centre Manager

With 20 years’ experience in leisure industry, Louise joined The Gordon Banks Sports Centre in January 2010. Louise started as a lifeguard at 16 working for the local authority, before leaving the industry for a short while to gain her Leisure Management Degree and teaching qualification (GDLLS) at Loughborough College. She is extremely passionate about the sport and leisure industry which shines through in her work, taking on every challenge the sector can bring.

 

James Mountjoy

The Gordon Banks Sports Centre Senior Duty Manager

James joined The Gordon Banks Sports Centre back in August 2013, he started working in leisure industry at the age of 16 in gyms back in South Wales. Desperate to travel the world he joined Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a Personal Trainer visiting North & South America, Australia, New Zealand, and the Caribbean & Europe. James loves speaking to members of the gym and motivating people to achieve their targets. An interesting fact about James is he plays the Drums playing as part of a band in South Wales for 5 years.

 

Jade Griffiths

The Gordon Banks Sports Centre Personal Trainer & Duty Manager

Jade has 4 years’ experience in the leisure industry and is never without a smile. As a personal trainer she specialises helping people with lower back pains, her work is appreciated by members and staff having been voted 'Team Member of the Year' by her colleagues.


 

Mark Mulenga

The Gordon Banks Sports Centre Personal Trainer

Mark has a passion fitness, health and overall well-being. He is a Level 3 Certified Trainer specialising in strength & conditioning, weight loss, toning and muscle gain and also teaches classes 'Hit to be Fit, Boxing Circuits, Boot Camp and Fast Abs'. An interesting fact about Mark is he used to be in a rap group, he has a music video on YouTube which amassed over 117 thousand views.

 

Chris Plant

The Gordon Banks Sports Centre Duty Manager

Chris has worked in the leisure industry for more than 20 years, originally for Stoke-on-Trent City Council before joining the centre in 2010. Chris has a keen interest in Football, Rugby and Cricket has coached Archery and plays competitive Hockey for the Stone Hockey Club. He is also a fully qualified Level 2 Gym Instructor and likes to help people who are new to exercise or have not done any for a while.

 

Jess Barnes

The Gordon Banks Sports Centre Receptionist

Your first point of call at The Gordon Banks Sports Centre, Jess is the youngest of the team members having started as an apprentice and is now a fully-fledged team member.
