College student lifts five bodybuilding awards

Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) student Jack Richardson has won five awards this year in recognition for his commitment to bodybuilding.

Jack, aged 19 from Hartshill, won first place in three competitions and second place in two competitions.  He has competed against hundreds of athletes and his most recent win at the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) Awards took place in Los Angeles.  Jack’s awards include:

1st Place in the UK Drug Free Bodybuilding Association (UKDFBA) 2016 Qualifier Awards (Northern Counties) Teenage Men Category

1st Place in the UKDFBA 2016 Final Awards (UK & International) Teenage Men Category

1st Place in the NAC 2016 British Final Awards

2nd Place in the UKDFBA 2016 USN Classic Awards Teenage Men Category

2nd Place in the WNBF Amateur Championships

Jack is currently completing a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and Instruction at NULC and has a keen interest in body building.  Jack said: “This is the first time I’ve entered the awards so to have won 5 awards is pretty amazing.”  Jack continued: “Competing in the international championships in LA was nerve wracking and winning 2nd place was a massive achievement.”

Anthony Walton, Course Leader Level 2 Gym Instruction and Level 3 Personal Training Qualifications, said: “We are delighted for Jack, he is a very hard working student and the award wins are testament to his dedication as an athlete.”

The Drug Free Bodybuilding Association was founded in 2011 and is the British affiliate of the WNBF (World Natural Bodybuilding Federation).
